We are not being selfish when we rest. Rest is an opportunity to find a better footing on the ground — a footing that will allow us to share the best of ourselves.
thank you for this! i always feel guilty for resting because everyone around me is moving on, working hard, achieving their goals :( but i guess we just gotta remember that everyone moves at their own pace and that's okay.
You’re so welcome! Like you said, we all move at our own pace and we must not be discouraged.
I remember feeling like I was falling behind after I changed careers in my late 20s — I felt like I was old compared to others. But now I realize it is not a race. We are all destined for different places. We will all experience unique and equally beautifully things. However, we must pace ourselves so we can appreciate who and what we find along the way. This is what makes every journey worthwhile.
Wishing you all the best my friend. Sending you lots of love and light.
On a day that Im feeling guilty over letting my son go to his fathers (its his week, I just had him for over a week and i miss him so much when hes gone) this is exactly what I needed. I feel burnt out, have been sick with the flu for over a week from the vaccine (darn Moderna), got diagnosed with depression because of how stressful and demanding my career is. And actually because of this post I am putting my two weeks in a few minutes. Because I deserve rest, and because you said so. Once again Andrew, you help me when im on my worst. I appreciate you so much. I hope you're doing well, and I hope you're rested <3
This is so lovely. Thanks for sharing, Andrew.
Thank you for the love, Rafael. You're so welcome — it's my pleasure sharing!
